The purpose of the job is:
- To provide a comprehensive range of Financial Business support to
the region to ensure continued success and improvement to the Business
performance.
- To enforce compliance with all (inter)national Financial standards,
laws and legislations.
- To provide support to group Finance and to take an active role in
the global Finance Team.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Act as an independent Business partner for the RMD and provide guidance
and meaningful business information to improve the business performance
of the region.
- Conduct detailed reviews and analysis of financial
statements and management reports including variances analysis and
drives change proposals for improvement.
- Ensures continuation of the daily finance operations and ensures
adequacy of accounts, controls, P&L, balance sheet reporting and reconciliation’s.
- Drives pro-actively the regional planning, budgeting and forecasting
process.
- Implement and ensure appropriate financial and internal controls
in compliance with Group Finance policies and procedures.
- Ensure regional and local compliance with AO/IC and other relevant
legislation.
- Propose and implement procedural and process improvements on regional
level within the operating boundaries as set by Group Finance & Control.
- Manage the risk by conducting risks assessments on business and
finance processes within the region, to pro-actively identify and
resolve potential business and/or financial risks in a timely manner.
- Minimize financial liabilities and maximize revenues for each contract.
- Work with internal and external auditors on regional statutory audit
and tax requirements.
- Support and participate in tender processes by providing regional/local
knowledge and deliver input to Group Tender Team.
- Support and work in close cooperation with Group Tax to determine
the fiscal regimes in target countries and to optimize JV structures
to minimize tax liabilities.
- Manage and solve (in close cooperation with the RMD) contractual
escalations and ensure maximum attainment.
- Support the business by providing timely and accurate management
information.
- Academic education level, preferably Chartered Accountant or
Chartered Controller
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience with business control in
an international organization, preferably related to marine industry
or oil and gas.
- Strong analytical skills and capable to work in a challenging,
dynamic and international environment
- Advanced Excel user, experience with ERP systems.
- Able to recommend and implement process improvements
- Excellent communication skills, influencing and organizational
skills, result oriented, flexible, pro-active, team player.
- Ability to track and measure financial data and communicate information
up and down
- Excellent speaking and writing skills in English
- Willingness to travel frequently
